TIMES SINGAPORE, JAKARTA – Satay has become one iconic dish you could find all over the country when you visit Indonesia. This dish has always attracted the tourist just to get the exotic experience of tasting the local food. Including Sate Bulayak of West Nusa Tenggara.

Just like any other common satay you find in this tropical country, this satay was made out of chicken, beef, or even innards. The cooking process also involved some ember. Just like extra ordinary traditional barbecue.

In addition, the satay will be served with bulayak, a local rice cake wrapped with coconut leaves. It will be smaller in size compared to those rice cake wrapped in banana leaves you used to find in the country.

However, the taste will be as special as those rice cake with banana leaves. The aromatic fragrance obtained from the coconut leaves will make the rice cake feel better. The coconut leaves will also give a nice color to the rice cake.

A set of Sate Bulayak of West Nusa Tenggara will served with 6 pieces of Bulayak. However you could asked for more if you feel like your stomach still demanding some more food. The taste of satay combined with the beautiful natural local view made the satay worth to  try.
