TIMES SINGAPORE, MAJALENGKA – There is another alternative snack to accompany your movie time at home other than those regular popcorn. This snack could be easily found in Majalengka. The local community commonly called it as Jalakotek.

In Majalengka alone, the local used to grab it for their meals or some to accompany their tea time. It was because it needs times to make this food. Jalakotek was made out of tapioca flour filled with some nice tasty filling of tofu or chicken.

You could find this food and grab it from a popular Jalakotek stall in Majalengka. A local stall at Jalan Siti Arminah, Majalengka Kulon, Majalengka, West Java has this food ready for you to be enjoyed.

This stall has a complete variety of Jalakotek with its tasty filling like sautéed tofu, chicken floss, beansprout, carrots, and chili. They deep fried it and and sprinkle it with chili flakes, salt powder, and more spicy sauce. 

Meanwhile, you could also take this food by online order. A piece of Jalakotek will only cot you for IDR 1 K to IDR 2 K depends on the filling. "Commonly they order in a pax of 5. We don't charge them with delivery service fee for the locals, except for those who order it online," Asep, a local Jalakotek vendor of Majalengka said.
