TIMES SINGAPORE, PONOROGO – Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Harapan Mulya Ponorogo (SMK HMP)  or Harapan Mulya Vocational School if Ponorogo has trained their students to be the future entrepreneurs. This time they trained the students to make herbal drink with their own recipe.

It has become an aimed for this Medical Vocational School to help the community with their health. This herbal drink was chosen for they think that it could help the community to boost their immune during this pandemic.

They were assigned to create some herbal drink which was made of aromatic ginger, rice flour, turmeric, tamarind and sugar. There are main products They created from it, i.e beras kencur, kunyit asam, and gula asam.

“During this time they were asked to make a group of 3. And they should presents their products with the guidelines we have given before," Andyra Betanama AMd, tge supervisor of the class said on Saturday (22/5/2021).

The students doing the task at the school laboratory.  It didn't take time and much energy. They knew what they doing. All the ingredients has been prepared before.they get the ingredients from the local market.

After they finished the task, they were told to pack it in a bottle and distribute it directly to their customers. Some of them go to the street nearby and offer it to the people passing by. Some of them went to the local shop or knock the local communities' door.

This is one of Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Harapan Mulya Ponorogo (SMK HMP)  or Harapan Mulya Vocational School way to prepare their students to face the real world through business. "We have introduced this herbal drink to the local community since from last year," Andyra added. (*)
