TIMES SINGAPORE, MALANG – The students of UIN Malang conducted their social work at Pandansari, Poncokusumo, Malang. During their time of doing their social work they taught the locals to produce homemade handsanitizer from the local commodities.

Pnadansari Vilaage known to have lots of local farm products such as orange, and spices. "They live side to side with it without knowing their health properties, infact it could be used as one practical solution to tackle Covid-19," Khiloiril Anas, the leader of the team said.

He also said that the students with the support of village administrators will try to open the locals' mind of about how to take an advantage of the local products and turn them into handsanitizer.

Ana also explained the steps to produce natural handsanitizer. The first and foremost is to sterilize all the utensils and equipment which will be used during the process including the bottle.

Then, dissolve isopropyl alcohol 75% with water with 2:1. Stir it clockwise. Add the orange extract, spray the bottle with 95% alcohol. And then you can put it in to the bottle.
