TIMES SINGAPORE, MALANG – Reading believe to be one window that connect you to the world. Well that true for by reading a book it will take you out of your room just in second. That why this professor of UIN Malang nurtures you to love reading that much though it has to be from an online library.

Nita Siti Mudawamah, M.IP, the professor of Library Studies and Information of UIN Malang emphasize all the students to love to read though they couldn't access the campus library as they use. The online library are the solution for it.

"Most of the university has equipped their place with online databases that you could access anywhere anytime, they have complete collection from science to fiction," Nita, M.IP, Dosen Program Studi Perpustakaan dan Ilmu.

UIN Malang in this case has one library that give a broaden access to their students. The library has maintained their services through through sending the librarians for some workshop to enhance their skill with modern technology.

The librarians has joined several training such as online research skills or reference management tools. This will training were meant to give the librarians a way to reach the students with their book.

"Students are intelligent people. It means that they were gifted with knowledge.  And through the knowledge they were supposed to give it some advantage to the society," Nita added.

In addition, she explained basic steps to encourage those students to love reading. First and foremost yet the simplest, they could start reading by choosing a book that suit to their interest.

Having a light reading could encourage them to take a further step. They could also write a note during their time of reading a book to make it more interesting.

"The students have to realize that studying at university is not merely about your grade, but how far could they explore themselves and find out the true them through reading," the professor of UIN Malang said. (*)
