TIMES SINGAPORE, PANGANDARAN – Located at Babakansari RT 03/05, Ciganjeng, Padaherang, Pangandaran, West Java, Lalay cave was planned to be a nice attraction in  the area. This cave offers you an exotic view with thousands of bats hanging on the wall.

For now, this cave has been managed by the local community named Persaudaraan Penjaga Goa Lalay Kedung Palungpung. They have took an advantage by taking bats feces to be turned into fertilizers. 

Lalay in the local language means bats. That's where the name of the cave was taken. The locals use it to fertilize their farm. "The plants grows in a very good condition," the Secretary of Ciganjeng village, Yuyuk Ruhijar said. 

The fertilizers has been distributed to neighborhood cities. With it's super approachable price the fertilizer has become a favorite for the locals. The community distribute the fertilizer for IDR 1,5 K/kg.

The money the got were used for the good sake of the village. Including in turning this cave into one attractive tourist destination. "We hope that the local community could work to gether with us in sustaining the lifespan of the cave," Yuyuk added.

In addition, the local government planned to build a pathway that could be used by the visitors to reach the area. They will also add some public facilities around this cave which was found in 1823.

Yuyuk believed, with the government involved in the management, the cave will gain its popularity. It will be a first step to help the locals to raise their economy.

Lalay cave of Pangandaran is 120 meters long, with 35 meters wide and 20 meters height. Your eyes will be mesmerized with thousands of bats hanging on the wall. This will be a stunning view to have especially for those explorers. (*)
